Over 120 charitable organisations celebrate the Foundation's 25th anniversary

Charities form across the north of England travelled to Leeds Civic Hall on 18th November to attend an event marking the 25th anniversary of Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, which has invested £297 million in 42,000 charities that support disadvantaged people to play a fully role in the community.

Jessie Joe Jacobs, Chief Executive of A WAY OUT spoke at the event and said:  “The 25th anniversary reception was a wonderful event for charities and the community to come together and celebrate the work of the Foundation and that of the thousands of charities it has supported over the years.

“Charities like ours have benefited immensely from the support the Foundation has put into communities to tackle disadvantage, and thanks to the grant we received, we can continue to provide vital services to beneficiaries during this tough economic climate.”

Also speaking at the event which was attended by over 120 charities and beneficiaries was Linda Kelly, Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales:  “It was wonderful celebrating the Foundation’s 25th anniversary with many of the charities we have supported.

“Since we started 25 years ago, we have awarded over £297 million in grants to 42,000 charities across all of the local authorities in England and Wales.  We are delighted to announce that once again next year, we have an income of £25.24m which will enable us to continue to fund charities supporting those most disadvantaged in society.”
