Kate O’Sullivan the Project Manager at Salford Loaves and Fishes said:

“This grant will enable us to pilot our new client volunteering programme, ‘Raising Aspirations’.  Many of our clients struggle to access many ‘back to work’ type schemes because their skills base and aspirations are low.  Unlike standard volunteering programmes, Raising Aspirations is entirely for the therapeutic benefit of the clients and is designed to raise self esteem and teach new skills, whilst providing clients with a track record that can be carried forward into other volunteering or paid employment.  The grant will also enable us to extend our opening hours to 5 days.”
