ABERERCH PLAYGROUP RECEIVES £7,000 GRANT
Cylch Cyfansawdd the playgroup and Ti a Fi group based in Abererch near Pwllheli has received a grant of £7,000 from the Lloyds TSB Foundation from its Community Programme. The funding will enable the group to maximise support to families in the area.
The group will support children with additional learning needs to develop skills and make social networks and children who come from non-welsh speaking homes will be introduced to the Welsh Language before they begin school, making it easier for them to make the transition to school. The group also provides parents and carers with advice and information about their children’s education
Cerys Thomas, Lloyds TSB Foundation for England & Wales Grant Manager for North Wales said,
“The grant from the Lloyds TSB Foundation will provide funding over a two-year period and not only support the needs of young children and their families in a very isolated area but also the sustainability of the local community centre from which a number of other local groups operate“.
