The Dawlish Gardens Trust provides opportunities for people with mental or physical disabilities to learn about horticulture.
Disabled volunteers at the seven acre site are encouraged to participate in all activities that they feel comfortable with and to feel part of a community. The skills that clients learn at Dawlish Gardens can increase the choices and chances available to them in other areas of life.
The new instructor post will allow the gardens to increase its capacity and meet the growing demand for their services.
"We have clients driving tractors, growing and eating their own food and generally not being excluded from taking part because of their disability.” (Mike Adams, Trustee)
