Help, advice and support
Cyswllt Ceredigion Contact is an Aberystwyth based day service set up in 1992 to provide help, advice and support for people with drug and alcohol problems and their families. Their dedicated, specialist trained staff provide a range of services including:
- education about drug and alcohol abuse
- recovery and abstinence programmes
- information about how families function when coping with drug and alcohol abuse, and a family programme to improve the family situation
- a schools education programme
Above all it provides a caring and supportive environment and a holistic approach to recovery.
“Without them I would still be very ill – or possibly dead.”

Helping make it all happen
But it would be difficult to provide such a consistent, reliable and professional service if there wasn’t also a strong ‘back office’ presence – the Foundation’s grant was used towards the salary of a Business Manager.
This key member of staff works closely with the Director and Trustees to formulate the strategic direction of the organisation and ensure that they can meet the expected demand for services. The post is also responsible for ensuring that all the non-clinical aspects of the organisation and administrative functions run smoothly and that the finances are in place and managed correctly.
“Having funding for this role over a two-year period provides a massive boost to our ability to continue to provide our service across Ceredigion. It is a critical position within the organisation, and this funding helps to secure it for the next two years.”
(Marty Spittle, Manager)
