The decision process

How will my application be assessed?

We have a thorough assessment process and we visit all charities who are applying for £5,000 or above.  All applications are reviewed by panel who decide on the type and size of grant if the application is successful.  NB Assessment staff do not make final decisions on grants.

When are funding decisions made?

We receive applications on an on-going basis. We do not publish formal deadlines or decision dates as these vary between programmes. When you submit your application form we will let you know when to expect our decision but it’s normally from three to six months depending on the size of the grant.

If my application is declined will I be told why?If your application is not successful, we will send you a letter to explain our decision. If you telephone your local Grant Manager, they will also be able to give you more detailed information about the decision.

If I am a bank customer does this help my application? No. We are run independently of Lloyds TSB Group and we make decisions purely on the basis of merit.
