Our strong local presence and knowledge mean that we are always driven by the individual needs of local communities. The types of work we fund include:
- carers
- diverse minority communities
- domestic abuse and sexual violence
- excluded young people
- inclusion through technology
- physical or learning disabilities
- geographically deprived areas
- mental health
- older people
- people leaving care
- prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families
- refugees, asylum seekers and migrants
- rural disadvantage
- social and geographical isolation
- substance misuse
- urban diversity
- financial inclusion
- debt advice
This does not mean that charities working in other areas are excluded. We are always keen to speak to and advise charities that can make a positive difference to local communities. However, a list of the types of organisations we do NOT fund can be found here.
